Course update: 5th, 8th and 18th
I hope everyone is looking forward to the first Saturday medal of the season tomorrow. You may have noticed some changes around the course. I have made a list of these below with some local rules being implemented immediately.
5th green:
There has been a lot of drainage work carried out at the back of the green. This has been staked off and two free-drop zones have been added at either side. If your ball comes to rest inside the marked white lines, please use the nearest free-drop zone for your next shot.
8th baby trees:
Due to the severe weather, we had a couple of trees come down at the right side of the 8th fairway. We have now extended the blue and white stakes to include the area where the trees have fallen and the section between the rear of the 6th tee and the fairway of the 8th. This is a considerable extension, so please make sure you familiarise yourself with the new changes.
18th bunker:
There has been a reduction in the bunker to the left side of the 18th green. While this bunker is under construction, there will be a GUR in place. Please do not walk on the new grass that has been laid and use normal GUR rules while this is being finished.
Thanks for everyone’s patience and I hope this update helps you.
